Nationals beat Mariners 5-2

SEATTLE (AP) - Jesus Flores hit a tiebreaking two-run home run in the sixth inning to lift the Washington Nationals to a 5-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday.

Flores, who had three RBIs, hit a two-out, 2-2 pitch from Miguel Batista (3-8) into the left-field bullpen for his fourth home run.

Tyler Clippard (2-0), who started Monday, was sent to the minors Tuesday then recalled for this start, picked up the victory. He went six-plus innings, allowing seven hits and two runs.
