PASCO, Wash.-- A former Pasco student is heading to Beijing this Summer.

Josh Romain will play the baritone at this year's Olympic Games. Romain is a student at the University of Washington and a graduate of Pasco High School.

He was invited to play in the Olympic band after being recognized by his conductor from Pasco High and the conductor from the University of Washington.

Romain says the games won't start til August, but he's already won the gold.

"We have certain days when we're obligated to do performances for people, and other days when we get to be tourists for the day, going to the Beijing Olympics it's something I think anybody can appreciate how exciting that is," said Josh Romain.

Romain plays three instruments and attends the University of Washington on an academic scholarship. He says he will be in Beijing for two weeks, and is looking forward to making a trip to the Great Wall of China.
