Casino Pulls Plans to Add Adult Entertainment

ZILLAH, Wash. -- A Zillah casino owner is bowing to public pressure and withdrawing his proposal to add adult entertainment to his casino.

A crowd of nearly 200 people filled the Zillah Civic Center last night in protest of the proposal for adult entertainment.

Owner Jamie Muffett was looking to add exotic dancers to the Tuscan Sands casino to help boost business. As soon as the news got out people were upset about what this type of entertainment would do to the image of their community.

Muffett listened to those outcries and says he's going to answer them by pulling his plans, but he in turn asked for more patronage from the community.

"I'm a citizen here. I want to support my community and it sounds like the great people of Zillah are going to support me and Tuscan Sands for the restaurant area," said Muffett.

Muffett says the casino is going to start taking on a more sport's bar atmosphere. They're installing a dance floor and planning other types of entertainment that can be enjoyed by all.
