KENNEWICK, Wash. - Human remains found after a fatal boat accident last Saturday were tested by the Benton County Coroner Rick Corson Friday morning.
Corson told KNDU that the remains are believed to be a partial right hand with two human fingers attached.
The preliminary investigation leads Benton County Authorities to believe the remains are from missing boater Ed Gilbert, but right not they can't confirm until there's more testing.
They are planning finger printing tests next week.
All the evidence that was collected at the scene last Saturday was examined Friday.
Corson confirmed that a wallet discovered in the river is Gilbert's.
Sheriff's Deputies said Michael Nethercutt ran over Gilbert's boat going about 40 miles-per-hour near the Cable Bridge.
Columbia Basin Dive Rescue is expected to continue their search on Saturday morning.
