Oregon Approves Depot Waste Disposal Program

Posted: Updated:

HERMISTON, Oreg.- A decision from the state of Oregon means the Army will be able to save millions of dollars in taxpayer money destroying secondary munitions waste.

This includes contaminated gloves and protective suits, along with chemical munitions.

The goal is to have the chemical weapons destroyed by 2012, but even with the delay, it should be done before then.
