KENNEWICK, Wash.--Kennewick is now home to a new affordable housing complex for senior citizens.
Edison Terrace West recently opened its doors on Edison Street.
The building has 44 apartments.
Seniors pay only 30% of their gross adjusted income for rent and utilities.
"It will become a community," mentions Shalom Ecumenical Center (SEC) chairman Rich Barchet. That the 44 people or more that will be living in these 44 apartments will soon find they will develop friendships that will last them for the rest of their lives."
Edison Terrace West also has a computer and exercise room.
