Mothers Of Twins Club Celebrates 50 Year Reunion

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A group of Tri-City mothers came together for a 50 year reunion on Thursday.

They were at the Tri-City Country Club to celebrate 50 years of the Mothers of Twins Club. The club was started in 1958 by a group of local mothers, who had twins.

Today these women shared memories and looked through scrapbooks and pictures, some dating back to the 1960's. The club also had 3 sets of triplets, so they changed their name to Twice and Thrice.

"It makes it difficult sometimes to not support the one when you have to support the other, so it does give you some problems, but it comes out in the wash and everything turns out ok," said Bobbie Hobbs, one of the club's founders.

After 50 years some of these women are no longer active club members. But a new group has taken over.

They meet every third Wednesday of the month at Banner Bank in Kennewick. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. The group meets every month except for July and August.
