Get Locked in Medieval Stockades at the Renaissance Faire in Richland
RICHLAND, Wash-- Knights, dueling buckets, and jousting were all part of the fun at the 22nd Annual Merrie Greenwood Renaissance Faire in Richland. People from all over the Northwest enjoyed Celtic music, juggling, and a chance to dress up as a jester.
The Seattle Knights played equestrian games and re-enacted jousting on horses. Also at the faire was a William Shakespeare impersonator who read poems about Romeo and Juliet. Several Tri-City kids got a chance to get locked up in medieval stockades while a jester questioned their behavior.
"Besides being extremely warm on a hot day it's kind of cumbersome to be locked in stockades, I'm 6'3 and I'm locked it's five foot," said Andrew Dean, Jester.
Also fun at the faire was dueling buckets which is a Reniassance Style dunk tank. The faire continues Sunday and is located off of Lee Blvd in Richland.
