PASCO, Wash-- A man is shot multiple times while walking down 8th st. near B street in Pasco around 5 a.m. this morning. The victim is 22 year-old Shaveay Hurst, from Pasco and was transported to Kadlec Medical Center.
Pasco Police Captain Jim Raymond said the victim claims he does not know who shot him, but police are still investigating his story. Neighbors said they saw a black SUV that looked like a Chevy Blazer leaving the scene.
One neighbor who heard the shots said he found the man this morning, shot in the back of the leg.
"I didn't see who shot the guy, but he was walking and he was walking pretty good," said Jose Torres, who lives on 8th St.
Pasco police do not know which direction the shots came from, but Captain Raymond says officers have been sent to this neighborhood before to investigate shots being fired.
Shaveay is recovering at Kadlec Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds. Pasco police continue to investigate the shooting.
