Fever playoffs hope slim after 52-34 loss to Boise

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities Fever aren't mathematically out of the playoffs just yet, but it would take a small miracle. They are tied for 12th with a 4-9 record. The top eight teams make it in.
If they won their remaining three games, and all the right people lost their last three games, then they could sneak in.  That seems unlikely considering they are on a four-game losing streak.  They've averaged just over 30 points a game in their last three games. That doesn't get it done in Arena Football.  The offense was clicking early in the loss to boise yesterday, but scored just twice in the second half, making the final score 52-34 in favor of Boise.  The Fever are off next Saturday before hosting Amarillo Monday, July 14.
