Drugs or Alcohol Involved in Fatal Collision in Tieton
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Troopers say a man who drove through a stop sign and died after colliding with a truck was under the infuence of drugs or alcohol.
Just before 1 a.m. on Friday, Abel Ochoa, 48, of Yakima, went through a stop sign at the corner of Naches-Tieton Road and Potter road. Ochoa crashed into a truck being driven by 59-year old James Ketchum.
Ochoa was ejected from his vehicle and died from his injuries at Yakima Regional. Ketchem was not injured, but three children, who were all buckled in, were also taken to Regional for injuries they sustained in the crash.
