SAN DIEGO (AP) - The Seattle Mariners begin a seven-game homestand tonight with three games against Toronto and four against Detroit. The M's beat the San Diego Padres yesterday, 9-2, as Ichiro Suzuki went 5-for-5 at the plate to tie his career-high. The starters for tonight's game against the Blue Jays will be R.A. Dickey for Seattle and Roy Halladay for Toronto. Yesterday's win means the Mariners swept the three-game series against the Padres, matching their season-high of three straight wins. However, Seattle still has the worst record in the major leagues at 31-50. Since Felix Hernandez's ankle is still tender, the Mariners' starter for Tuesday night's game at home against Toronto likely will come from the bullpen.
