Hearing Delayed for West Richland Teen Accused of Killing Mother and Sister

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.- A hearing for the West Richland teen accused of helping kill his mother and sister was pushed back a week Monday.

Attorneys for Donald Schalchlin say they need more time before a judge decides whether Schalchlin will be charged as an adult or stay in juvenile court.

Prosecutors allege Schalchlin and his friend Joshua Tucker stabbed Schalchlin's mother and sister to death in their West Richland home last December.

Tucker has since plead guilty and been sentenced to more than 40 years in prison.
