KENNEWICK, Wash.-- We're following the case of a murdered woman with her baby cut from her womb. Tuesday the Benton County Coroner tried to provide some answers about how the woman died.
Rick Corson says right now he can't determine if the baby was cut out of the womb before or after the mother died. He'll be gathering tissue samples for tests to find out what happened first.
Suspect Phiengchai Sisouvanh will be charged Wednesday morning. After the hearing, the prosecutor will have thirty days to decide if he wants to pursue the death penalty.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the baby boy was on life support at a hospital in Spokane.
