YAKIMA, Wash- Costco will be opening a new call center on July 14th. This new location at 1700 North 16th Street will eventually lead to new jobs.
So far, 38 employees have been hired and Costco's CEO Jim Sinegal said the call center should take up to 50% of Costco's calls someday.
Union Gap's Costco warehouse already employs over 230 people. The company boasts an extensive employee training program and a low turn-over rate. There are currently 537 Costco's world-wide and the company plans to expand.
