KENNEWICK, Wash-- Cyclists from around the world camped in Columbia Park this weekend. The 150 cyclists are riding across the county in nine weeks.
They are part of the Sea to Sea Bike Tour with a mission to end the cylce of poverty around the world. The tour is partnered with the Christian Reformed Church and they had a church service in the park this morning.
Many of the cyclists say it's great to do a hobby they enjoy and raise money for a good cause at the same time.
Each cyclists had to raise $10k to particpate in the tour and in total they raised $1.5 million. The money helps give impoverished family's all over the world small loans. The tour is the largest bike tour to ever cross North America.
They started in Seattle six days ago and will make stops in Salt Lake City, Chicago and Niagra Falls before ending at the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey.
