PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Portland LumberJax have nabbed defenseman Brad MacDonald back from the Chicago Shamrox.

In exchange, the Jax gave up forward Matt Holman and a second round selection in the 2009 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

MacDonald appeared in 12 games for the Jax last season, scoring one goal and accumulating 24 penalty minutes.

He was chosen 25th overall by Portland in the third round of the 2007 Dispersal Draft from the Arizona Sting.

In the playoffs, the Orangeville, Ontario native scored two goals and added one assist as Portland won the West Division.
