Tri-City's Rose is Blooming

PASCO, Wash. -- Dust Devil infielder Patrick Rose is a man who seems to have his head in the right place, in baseball and in life in general.

He says, "I don't really think about success. I just take it one day at a time. Just have fun every day and things should work out."

Rose has been hitting the ball over the field. He is batting over .300 but he says his teammates are really helping him out.

He says, "Everybody that is here has fun for sure. When guys are loose, you have good team chemistry, it definitely has an impact on how you play."

Rose says he takes that relaxed attitude into the batter's box.

He says, "I just try to stay as relaxed as possible. See the ball, see it early, see it deep. If it is in the zone, I put a good swing on it."

Dust Devils Manager Freddy Ocasio says, "Right now he is hitting fifth or sixth, driving in runs, giving us good, quality at-bats."

Rose has also provided a steady hand in the infield for Tri-City. But he says, most of all he is having a good time with his team.

He says, "It's been an absolute blast. Everyday to come out here and do what you love. I don't take it for granted."

And with a team that is proving to be a hit in the win column and with its positive attitude, Patrick Rose's outlook seems like a great fit.
