KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Many wildfires are burning across Washington state.
A fire North of Orondo in Douglas County has scorched more than three square miles. As of 6:00 p.m. Friday, it was only 5% contained.
North of East Wenatchee another fire has already burned more than four square miles of land. As of Friday night, firefighters said the fire was 60% contained, but 60 structures were threatened.
Over 1,500 acres of land, a cabin, and a mobile home have burned in the Cayuse Fire east of Okanogan. At 6:00 Friday night it was 40% contained, and 6 homes and 14 other buildings were threatened.
