RICHLAND, Wash. - Wednesday night Richland Firefighters were trying to figure out what started a grass fire on George Washington Way.
20 acres of land burned. Wednesday night firefighters said a construction crews was in the area before flames were spotted but there is no exact cause.
The fire started at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon and firefighters did not get back to the station until 9 o'clock at night because of flare ups.
It happened between Hanford and Spring Streets.
The area was shut down to traffic for about two hours.
An investigation is underway.
