KENNEWICK, Wash. - The murder trial is postponed for a Kennewick woman accused of killing a pregnant woman and cutting out her baby.
23-year-old Phien Sisouvanh is charged with aggravated first-degree murder. Friday she waived her right to a speedy trial so her attorneys can prepare, in case the Benton County Prosecutor seeks the death penalty.
Her trial is now set for March 30th, 2009. Sisouvanh also agreed to give the prosecutor until February to announce whether or not he intends to seek the death penalty.
