KENNEWICK, Wash.--A power line short circuits, snaps and falls to the ground.
It happened at the intersection of East Bruneau Avenue and North Gum Street around 4:30 p.m. Thursday (July 17th) afternoon.
Kennewick firefighters say the event caused a small fire to start at the bottom of a pole across the street.
However, a driver and former volunteer firefighter, put the fire out with a shovel.
It's unknown if any local businesses lost power.
No one was injured.
