PASCO, Wash. - The Tri-City Dust Devils dropped their sixth consecutive game Thursday night, a 6-4 decision to the Boise Hawks. The loss drops the Dust Devils to 16-14 on the year, seven games behind Northwest League East Division-leading Spokane and two games behind Boise.
The Dust Devils got on the board early, as Scott Robinson hit a two-out triple and scored on a Johnny Bowden single in the bottom of the first. After the Hawks responded with a run in the top of the third, Tri-City answered right back when Bo Bowman hit a two run home run to right field, his fifth of the year. Boise got on the board again in the top of the fourth, as a Ryan Keedy double drove in Josh Vitters.
Trailing 3-2 going into the top of the sixth, Boise rallied for three runs and took a 5-4 lead thanks largely to triples by Marwin Gonzalez and Andrew Rundle. Tri-City got one back in the bottom half of the sixth but could not muster any more runs despite having a runner on base in each of the last three innings.
