Police Looking for Vehicle Involved in Richland Armed Robbery
RICHLAND, Wash.--Around 9:00 p.m. Saturday (July 19th) night, Richland police say a man and a woman, who were on vacation in the Tri-Cities, were victims of an armed robbery at the Motel 6 on Fowler Street.
Police say three Hispanic men approached the 31-year-old Arizona woman as she was entering her motel room where the 32-year-old man already was.
One of the suspects walked in behind her, identified himself as law enforcement and showed her a silver handgun.
The three suspects later tied up both victims and covered their heads.
The man was assaulted, and cash along with van keys were taken from the room.
Richland police believe all three suspects left in the stolen van.
At this hour, police are looking for a blue 1999 Ford Windstar van with Washington license plate 212-TSS.
If you see this vehicle, contact your local police department immediately.
KNDU will continue to follow this story and bring you more information as it becomes available.
