RICHLAND, Wash-- Democrats from around the Tri-Cities came together for a picnic in Howard Amon park in Richland today.
The candidate for Washington Secretary of State, Jason Osgood, and George Fearing, a candidate running against Congressman Doc Hastings for his State Representative spot, were just a few of the Democrats who were there.
Seven non-partisan judge candidates also attended the picnic to meet community members.
"It's a great opportunity to get our message out and more than that it's just a fun community event we like to support the community and an old fashion picnic is a great way to do that," said Jerri Potts, candidate for Superior Court Judge in Benton and Franklin County.
The Tri-City Democrats, Benton County Central Committee, and the Franklin County Central Committee organized the event and provided burgers and hot dogs.
Thirteen speakers talked about issues ranging from the death with dignity intiative to the next Presidential election. They also had a game of tug-o-war between Clinton supporters and Obama supporters.
