Gubernatorial Candidate Visits Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.--  Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Dino Rossi visited Kennewick Monday.

Dino Rossi stopped at Infinia Corporation, a company that makes technology to capture solar energy.  Rossi says he was interested in visiting Infinia because he thinks alternative energies are very important, especially in the northwest, where we have one of the lowest carbon footprints in the United States.

Rossi's transportation plans are centered around green initiatives.  He wants to forgive taxes on hybrid and electric cars for the next 10 years.   He also wants the state government's cars to go green.  Rossi says, "We're going to, in our plan, convert the state motor pool to all hybrid and electric and alternative fuel vehicles and cars by 2015."

Also, today the Richland Police Officers Benefit Association endorsed Dino Rossi.  It's the eighth police guild to announce their support for him.
