WA Supreme Court Judge Running For Re-Election Visits KNDU Wednesday Afternoon
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Justice Charles Johnson is running for re-election for a Washington State Supreme Court position.
Wednesday he paid a visit to the KNDU studios to talk about the race. He is running against James Beecher and Frank Vulliet.
Johnson has served on the Supreme Court for 18 years. He stressed the importance of people voting in the primaries because unlike other races if one of the three candidates gets more than 50 percent of the votes in the primary they automatically win. <
Johnson said, "We're there, the primary is now. People should be aware there are a lot of races ... to think about not only judges, but representatives, and local races."
The primary is August 19th. Right now Johnson lives in Gig Harbor with his wife.
