YAKIMA, Wash. -- Jesus Cespedes and Sean Morgan pitched solid scoreless relief, but the Vancouver Canadians shut out the Yakima Bears 4-0 Wednesday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.
Ronnie Morla pitched six shutout innings for the win, allowing three hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Ben Hornbeck pitched three hitless innings for the save.
The Canadians got on the board first on a two-run triple to right by Dusty Napolean, with Napolean scoring a third run on the play on an errant throw to third on the relay. Napolean added another RBI on a bases-loaded walk to make it 4-0 Vancouver in the seventh.
Cespedes pitched two scoreless innings of relief, with two walks and one hit allowed. Sean Morgan also pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings of relief.
Yakima sends Houston Summers to the mound in the finale of the five-game set for a rare 1:05 p.m. first pitch Thursday afternoon.
