YAKIMA, Wash. -- Researchers are looking at high school test scores to determine why there is a lack of women doing math-based jobs in the workplace.
The results of their study are set to be released on Thursday. Researchers looked at standardized math test scores for more than 7 million students in 10 different states.
Locally, Governor Christine Gregoire recently gave final approval to completely phase out the math section of the WASL.
Starting in 2014, graduation requirements will be based on test scores in individual math courses.
