KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) - Rookie tight end John Carlson has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a multiyear contract and is on the practice field for the second day of training camp.
Carlson is a second-round draft choice from Notre Dame that Seattle traded up to select in April. The Seahawks expect him to start this season, and coach Mike Holmgren said while Carlson was missing the first day of camp on Friday that it was important he get in immediately to learn the intricate offense.
Carlson is the final Seahawk to report to camp. The team is expected to make a corresponding roster move Saturday to get to the training camp limit of 80 players.
