Yakima Detectives Put in a Full Force Effort to Find Vicente Diaz
YAKIMA, Wash--The Yakima Police Department is using all of its tools to find Vicente Diaz.
Captain Copeland said YPD has obtained a signed arrest warrant for Diaz and information about his case is now in a national database. With this database, officers across the US will have access to Diaz's picture and information.
Canada and Mexico's border patrol have also been notified to stop Diaz should he try to flee the country.
"And the third thing we're doing is getting some leads that he may be associating with family or friends outside the Yakima area and we're trying to concentrate our resources on that right now," said Copeland.
If Diaz is arrested in another state, he will be brought back to Yakima to face trial. Diaz does have a criminal record including theft of livestock and a drug trafficking conviction.
If you have any information about Diaz, call the Yakima Police Department 575-6200.
