Two Soldiers Return Home Monday Night At The Pasco Airport
PASCO, Wash. - Two local families are happy to have their soldiers home safe Monday night.
24-year-old Brett Turner just got back from being in Iraq for 15 months and 19-year-old James McKnight of Boardman just returned from training in Texas.
They arrived at the Pasco airport at 8 o'clock Monday. Operation Thank You, a local group that supports the soldiers was there to give the men a welcome home.
Kamiakin graduate Turner said he was happy to be back in the Tri-Cities.
Turner said, "I was doing missions everyday. It went by pretty fast, but it's still hard being away from family. Glad I can finally talk to my family and hang out with them a little bit. 15 months is along time."
Turner earned the Army's Commendation Medal with a "V" for Valor and worked as a medic in Baghdad.
