Police Pursue Man Going Over 100 MPH on Motorcycle
YAKIMA, Wash-- Timothy Spravlin is in stable condition tonight at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital after losing control of his motorcycle in a residential neighborhood.
The chase began when the Washington State Patrol clocked the 19-year-old going 120 m.p.h. riding his motorcycle on I-82.
He was riding side saddle with both his feet on one side of the bike. This extremely dangerous maneuver caught the eye of a patrol man. Turning off of I-82 the Spravlin sped through Union Gap and residential areas of Yakima.
Eventually losing control on South Naches and Pacific Avenue.
"Don't know the exact extent of this guy's injuries, but it looks like it could be major injuries. Obviously it puts him at great risk, why he'd be doing this in the middle of the day I have no idea," said Captain Jeff Schneider.
On June 20th the Washington State Patrol cited Spravlin with wreckless driving. Now the Selah man will be given another count of wreckless driving by the Yakima Police Department and felony eluding charges.
