WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- 12-year-old Trisha Patterson from Camas was found early Wednesday morning in an empty cabin, East of Walla Walla.
Search and rescue found her around 6:45 a.m., wrapped in a flag she used to stay warm. Patterson went missing on Tuesday night while on a hike with her family.
"It was a great feeling to know that she was safe, she kept her head about her, she was reunited with her family, and it was one happy ending," said Captain Bill White, with the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office.
The Walla Walla Sheriff's Department says they got a helicopter with an infra red camera from Spokane County to help them in the search.
They also searched on foot, and with motorcycles and ATV's.
