KENNEWICK, Wash. -- After a last place finish in their division, a 4 and 12 record, and a 7-game losing streak to end the season , the Fever Front Office decided they needed to make a change.
Thursday, the team announced that it would not be renewing head Coach Cedric Walker's contract. That despite the fact that it was Walker's first season with the Fever.
G.M. Randy Cchillinger says the decision was entirely performance based and that Tri-City fans deserve a better team.
He says the Fever will begin their search for a new coach next week and that they hope to have somebody fill the spot by the end of the month.
