KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Cedric Walker is packing up his office after being fired Thursday. Now, the question is what will longtime Fever players like J.R. Thomas do.
J.R. has a lot invested in the Tri-Cities. He owns his own personal training business called Nex Level Training.
And as one of the most recognizeable and veteran players on the fever, he says it would be hard to leave.
He also says if he plays for the Fever again, he wants a certain type of teammate. He says he wants them to be character guys that don't go out the clubs, get in bar fights, and get D.U.Is.
Despite what Thomas said, Fever GM Randy Schillinger told KNDU that he thought there was much less of a discipline problem under Coach Walker than in years past.
Thomas said that he is sad to see Cedric Walker to go. He called him his favorite coach to play for.
