KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Kenewick American All-Stars are raising money and getting ready for their trip to Martin, Tennessee and the Cal Ripken World Series.
Now, the team does have one thing on their side. Almost all of the 12-year-old players went to the world series on their ten-year-old team two years ago.
And their coach, Lenny Ayres has already proven he is a fighter. He had a stomach ailment that put him in the hospital for a day. He said doctors asked him to stay another couple days but he didn't want that to get in the way of his team's regional tournament.
The Kennewick 12-year-olds leave for Tennessee on Monday.
