Hogs Hit the Highway To Raise Money for the Special Olympics
YAKIMA, Wash-- Bikers from all over the Valley hit the highway to support the Special Olympics.
The Yakima Police Department organized a poker ride and raffle. Bikers left from Yakima this morning and headed to mineral springs on Blewett pass, then to Wenatchee and back.
Riders draw cards at each stop and then the person with the best hand at the end of the day wins a trip to Whistlin' Jacks Resort.
"It's for a good cause. It's all for the Special Olympics and it all stays right here in the community for the Olympians we send out to different events from here," said Keith Emhoff, fleet manager for YPD.
Around 100 people rode today and brought in $1,500. Half of that money will go to the winner of the raffle the other half goes to the Special Olympics.
