SEATTLE 2008: Dave Villwock in the U-1 Ellstrom presents Amos W. Hoss wins Heat 2B

SEATTLE, Wash. - A great match-up in Heat 2B pitted Dave Villwock and Jean Theoret going head-to-head.  In the final turn before the start, Villwock forced Theoret to adjust his path and that was all it took for the U-1 to run to victory.

Villwock led all qualifiers with a speed topping 155 mph and he used that speed to grab lane one.  Theoret got pushed out to lane two and went a little wide in the final turn coming up to the start line.

Villwock grabbed the lead before the first turn and ran away from the field.  Kip Brown in the U-17 actually crossed the start line first and looked like he made an incredible start, but it turned out he jumped the gun and was assessed a one-lap penalty.

"The old mean Dave's back out," said Villwock on KIRO-TV  "We're gonna race hard every time and draw blood."

Theoret didn't seemed phased by the move Villwock made.  "He was at the front in the apex and did his job," said Theoret.

"Try and catch me," said Villwock.
