McCain Visiting Motorcycle Rally, Nuke Power Plant

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON (AP) - John McCain will stump for votes later today
at what's billed as the largest motorcycle rally of its kind in the
world.
He'll speak around dinnertime to those gathered for the
"Buffalo Chip," an annual motorcyclists' Woodstock in Sturgis,
South Dakota. It features nine nights of entertainment, with bands
including Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd and REO Speedwagon.
Before he heads to South Dakota, McCain will tour a label plant
and attend a small business round-table discussion in Lafayette
Hill, Pennsylvania.
Then to underscore his call for expanded nuclear power in the
United States, McCain will tour a nuclear power plant in the
battleground state of Michigan tomorrow.
A recent Detroit News poll showed energy among the top issues
confronting voters in Michigan. It also showed support for McCain's
call for 45 new nuclear power plants by 2030.
