YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima City Council is expected to approve a request to increase the city's fuel budget by almost half a million dollars for 2008.
The transit division needed the biggest bump, an estimated $212,000 more than it was originally budgeted for.
The city council will vote on the request at their meeting on Tuesday night.
The increase in gas prices could soon be passed along to the customer. The council is also expected to set a public hearing date on proposals to increase transit fares.
