Obama Rejects Talk Of Trouble From Clinton Backers

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (AP) - Barack Obama is working to dispel the idea that
tensions between his supporters and Hillary Clinton's could mar
this month's nominating convention.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee says their
respective teams are "working out the mechanics, the
coordination" of the convention.
Clinton, who suspended her campaign after a sometimes bitter
primary contest, told supporters in an online chat that she and
Obama are "working together to make sure it's a big success."
Neither directly answered questions about whether Clinton's name
should be placed in nomination so that her backers could record
their votes. Clinton has not said whether she will seek a formal
vote on her bid for the nomination.
For the online chat on her Web site, the New York senator wrote
that she and Obama will ensure Democrats are "fully unified."
