SPOKANE, Wash. - Central Washington University senior Jared Bronson (Kent, Wash./Thomas Jefferson HS) and junior Garrett Rolsma (University Place, Wash./Curtis HS) have been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced Monday.

Bronson, a tight end, had four receptions for a career-high 146 yards with two touchdowns in the Wildcats' 44-38 overtime victory at Dixie State (Utah) on Saturday. Bronson had catches for 63, 42, 24, and 17 yards, with his 63- and 24-yard grabs coming for touchdowns. The latter score with 2:07 to go in the fourth quarter gave Central a short-lived 35-31 lead.

Rolsma kicked a game-tying 44-yard field goal as time expired in regulation, forcing overtime. He also connected on all five of his extra-point attempts and handled punting duties for the Wildcats for the 14th consecutive game.

Central Washington (1-0, 1-0 GNAC), which was ranked 11th in the preseason Division II polls by both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and The Wildcats will face a tough non-conference opponent in their home opener this weekend, taking on Mesa State College (Colo.) in a 1 p.m. kickoff at Tomlinson Stadium.
