RICHLAND, Wash. - Hanford was two quarters away from a season-opening win, but melted down late and lost to Moses Lake 43-21. The Falcons led 21-20 at the half, but were outscored by the Chiefs 23-0 in the second half en route to a non-league loss at Fran Rish Stadium. The 3A Falcons got some early big plays on the 4A Moses Lake Chiefs. In the first quarter, Kody Winsor took the ball on a sweep play and bursted 98 yards to tie the game at seven. The teams traded touchdowns the rest of the first half. Travis Chalk connected with Kyle Wagar for two separate scores.
