Reffett the Quarterback Kicker

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - In CWU's 48-14 whooping of Mesa State Saturday, the defense collected nine sacks. One stood out the most.
Mitch Reffett powered his way in from the right side, and as he was falling down, he whipped his legs up to kick down the quarterback.  Well done, Mitch, well done.
"Mitch is a real trained killer," said fellow D-lineman Ryan Dyer.  "He's gonna use whatever he can, his finger, his shoelace.  He might throw his helmet at you to try to sack you, but he definitely came through and he was a man on a mission to get that sack."
Central plays at W. Oregon Saturday. They are also moving up in the polls.
For the first time in five years, the Central Washington University football team has cracked the top 10 in the NCAA Division II football polls, climbing to number eight in this week's rankings released Tuesday.   The Wildcats, 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play, moved from 11th to eighth in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. They also climbed two spots from 10th to eighth in the poll.   The top-10 ranking is the first for Central Washington since the 2003 preseason poll, in which the Wildcats were ranked ninth by the AFCA. Central was listed as high as 11th last season, and occupied that same poll position in each of the first two rankings this year.
