KENNEWICK, Wash. - Prosecutors want an extra week to work out a possible plea deal for a Benton City man accused of beating a man to death.

26-year old Jonathen Harmon is charged with second degree murder. Prosecutors claim he caused the death of 60-year old Jerry Collins.

They want more time to talk with Collins' family to work out a plea deal. Harmon's next court appearance is September 18th.

If he goes to trial, it's set to start October 6th.
