Deportation Numbers Skyrocketing in Northwest

Posted: Updated:

Wash. -- Law enforcement agencies in the northwest are cracking down on immigration laws and their efforts are paying off.

According to a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, more than 7,300 people have been deported from Washington, Oregon, and Alaska so far this year.

That is a 40 percent increase from the same time in 2007.
