EUGENE, Ore. -- Beating up on teams as a quarterback of the Prosser Mustangs is great but Prosser grad Kellen Moore is now picking apart Pac-10 defenses like Oregon's.
The Boise State freshman is not only the national player of the weel, he won that award yesterday, but he's also the conference player of the week for the Western Athletic Conference. Saturday against Oregon, Moore was 25-of-37 for 386 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-32 upset win over the 17th ranked Ducks.
Moore and the Broncos are now 3-0. Kellen is the first ever freshman to start at quarterback for Boise State.
Moore's senior year at Prosser in 2006, he led the nation with 66 touchdowns and 4,300 yards.
