Huskies Playing More Freshmen, Cougars Try-Out Practice QBs

      12 true freshman have played this season
SEATTLE (AP) - Two more true freshmen - receiver Cody Bruns and
running back Terrance Dailey - played in the Washington football
team's game at Arizona.
That makes 12 true freshmen who have played this season for the
Huskies. Some fans question coach Tyrone Willingham's decision to
use their eligibility in a season that started with five straight
Willingham defends the decision and says the freshman could make
a difference in the seven games remaining on Washington's schedule.
The Huskies have a bye this weekend.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Twenty-nine students turned out for
Washington State's all-campus tryout for a quarterback for the
football team's practice squad.
Coaches selected four for a final check of compliance and other
