Yoke's and Car Dealerships Partner Up for the Octoberfest Food Drive
PASCO, Wash-- It's a different kind of Octoberfest. For the 7th year car dealerships at the Autoplex in Pasco and Yoke's Fresh Market are holding a food drive.
The Autoplex raises money from vehicle sales throughout the month of October. The money pays for pallets of food from Yoke's, that is then supplied to local food banks.
They hope to raise $10,000 and 40,000 lbs. of food.
"We do this because we have such great support from the local economy and the people that live in this market area in terms of doing business with us and it makes us feel good," said Craig Cavanaugh, General Sales Manager, McCurley Integrity Dealerships.
The food drive runs through the entire month of October. Shoppers at Yokes can donate by buying $5 to $10 food bags when checking out.
